A Post About My Favorite Word, Which Gives Me a Good Excuse to Run Cute Photos of Missy

June 9, 2018

Tony and I like to talk for Missy—ask her questions and then answer them in "her" voice. There's nothing weird about that, right?

The other day, I was eating a muffin I'd bought from Lucky's, or as we like to call it, because it's more fun, Slutty's.

Tony: "What kind of muffin did you get, Missy?"

"Missy": "Kibble."

I cracked up. I loved the idea of a muffin for dogs with kibble in it, and kibble is my favorite word. It's fun to say and seems to fit perfectly with what it describes.

I wish there were an interesting story behind such a cool word, but its origin is unknown.

I took the photo above earlier today.

I posted the photo below on Facebook back in April with the description "Our baby girl is cuter than Paul Rudd carrying a koala bear that's cradling a kitten in its arms." And she is.
